About

Jitender Sharma

Architect and engineering leader: system design, platforms, and regulator-aligned AI — close enough to the code that architecture holds up in production.

About

I believe AI systems should be grounded in truth, designed for adaptivity, and built with responsibility.

Great architecture is not just about systems. It is about enabling change safely at scale. I start with first principles, prefer simplicity over complexity, and design for scale rather than exceptions.

I lead as an architect and engineering leader: business strategy, system design, and AI capability, helping organisations modernise safely in regulated environments across Australia, the UAE, and India.

Today that work spans enterprise cloud and application modernisation at NAB, multi-cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), and responsible GenAI adoption. I set direction with senior stakeholders, review designs with engineering leads, and enable teams through patterns that have to run in production — not only through governance and architecture boards.

How I Lead

I lead through design authority and engineering judgement. I do not manage an engineering reporting line; I stay close enough to the code and the production trade-offs that architecture stays implementable.

  • Set technical direction and reference architectures across delivery streams
  • Partner with engineering leads on production trade-offs, and with business stakeholders on roadmaps
  • Set standards, review boards, and CoEs — and keep the patterns in production
  • Shape AI and platform adoption that risk, security, and engineering will accept
  • Enable teams through libraries, quickstarts, playbooks, and clear decision frameworks

This is the work I do as an architect and engineering leader, and what I write about publicly.

Why This Exists

This site is where I build in public: frameworks, architecture notes, playbooks, blueprints, and insights from architecture and engineering leadership in the enterprise.

I publish for architects, engineering leaders, and transformation teams navigating AI, platform modernization, system design, and distributed systems. If my perspective resonates, Advisory is how we work together; Insights is how I share what I learn.
